Good morning!!!..... Sometimes I feel as if I am just going through the motions & then my heart is stirred by emotion so great that I think about it for days. My alarm goes off at 2:15 am, I either workout or jump in the shower to get my day started. Lately I have tried to be at work by 4:00 because I have so much going on. I answer email, pay bills and head down stairs hopefully by 7:00. I usually greet my precious regulars that I get to see almost daily.... And check on new guest that come in..... Yep pretty the same. The time between 10:30 and 11:00 is my least favorite, this is when the line starts changing from breakfast to lunch and the girls go into lunch stations... This time is always a little chaotic & shifting my mindset is important..... With the growing of the grill my duties have shifted. I am running food and making sure quality and food presentation are there. Now instead of greeting guest at the door and getting to share small talk now I get to run food to there tables and make sure they are being taken care of properly. I never know who I will greet or what the conversation may be. Last week I made my way to booth 15. I greeted an older couple, I didnt recognize them and by the way they were taking it all in, I knew this was their first experience at the CIG. I greeted them ask how they were and gave them their food. They started the conversation asking if I was the owner... yes and thank yall for coming in... They gave a little small talk and the women looks up at me .... thank you for the writing on the wall, I needed it today but who really needed is my aunt, she is an amazing strong Christian women that is very ill.. She has become rather angry that God has not taken her to heaven yet... She is ready & she wonders what is he waiting for? Happy beautiful Thursday yall.... Her voice cracks as she talks to me and tears start falling.... This is why I do the same thing over & over again everyday because a couple of times a week I get to experience how The Lord uses this grill .... See how beautifully God has given you one more day, not because you need it, but because someone might need you..... These words do something to me every time I read them.... I stand in awe of what an awesome God we serve. So many people were surprised that I had God scrawled in huge letters across the Cast Iron wall but if this is his place his name should be on the door or wall in this case, this phrase has changed so many people because it really puts life into perspective. I am so blessed and honored to be apart of so many amazing people journeys..what a blessing each day is ..... May you find who needs you today!
