Good morning Stokies, well what went wrong yesterday? Probably much easier to say what went right, yes we scrambled a goal and earned our first point of the season, even though through a bit of luck been given a throw in that wasnt ours! Bego had a poor game Bardsley ran down the wing without the ball and was poor in defence Wilson looked out of touch Shawcross had a decent game as did Pieters Whelan played well but I think was wrongly substituted Nzonzi started well enough until he dropped further back when Whelan went off Arnie was lazy and out off form, couldnt get the ball over the wall from 2 free kicks Sidwell didnt do much and maybe he should have been sacrificed to make way for Bojan instead of Whelan Oddemwingie always looked like he wanted to get forward but lacked support and the finishing touch Diouf was out of the game why? probably because he got no service from the midfield. When Bojan came on he tried to put some passes together but again sometimes lacked the final touch Charlie Adam what a difference he made when he came on Crouch did his usual stuff knocked the ball down for others but where were they? Questions to be asked? Why didnt Charlie Adam start the game? Is Bardsley good enough to start in front of Cameron or Muniesa? When will Diouff get some service so he can show us some goals? Has Mark Hughes introduced to many new faces to soon, should they be starting on the bench and introduced gradually Is it time for Huth, Cameron and Walters to return? I am just thankful I dont have to pick the team, let Mark Hughes have that headache, but whatever happens we the fans must do what we have always done and get behind the team Have fun with this post my friends as for me I will be in bed while you are reading this, look forward to your comments (Mick)
