Good morning! The peak of our warm up is today with highs reaching the low to mid 80s. Partly cloudy skies and calm winds can be expected with a high in Fresno of 84 degrees. Overnight lows will fall into the low to mid 50s. Tomorrow, a rain system will approach the area. Plan for breezy conditions ahead of the cold front that could cause blowing dust in the west Valley before the rain begins. Trick-or-Treaters and Friday Night Football fans should keep the umbrellas handy as rain will begin in the North Valley in the late afternoon. The bulk of the rainfall will move through overnight as the system pushes east. A few trailing showers will last through midday on Saturday. Totals for the event will range from 1/2 to 1 in the Valley with higher amounts possible in the Foothills. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon from the Kings Canyon to Yosemite. Snow totals will be between 5 and 10 above 7,000 feet and winds will gust up to 60 MPH over the ridges.
