Good morning This is a story about how I met God I didn’t meet the Lord in a church. I met the Lord on my own. Later, I did get saved in a church. I am sort of glad I didn’t first meet the Lord in a church. Churches come and go. I met the Lord when I prayed and He personally touched me. I didn’t really at the time think I was praying, I was just talking to God. 1 John 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. God touched me and anointed me outside of any church There are so many different churches. So many conflicting views. There are so many different religions. Muslims, Jews, Christians, who is right. If you listen to every religion in the world you will eventually ask God Himself, “ Who are you? WHAT IS TRUTH? WHAT IS THE WAY? I asked that question 41 years ago. “God who are you.” I went down the list of all the Gods I had ever heard of. I was living in Honolulu and I was on my back lanai praying. Someone that day had told me about Jesus. He said, “ Just pray and ask God to show you if Jesus is the way. Well, I didn’t start with Jesus, but I did go home and pray. “God who are you?” After listing all the religions I knew, I said Jesus. I just said the name Jesus. I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life. When I said Jesus, I immediately felt this liquid love poor all over me. It started at my head and just went down all over me. I said at that moment. “It is you, it is you Jesus.” It was only last night that I came across that verse in 1John. 2:26. That anointing you have received from Him [Jesus] abides in you…. God anointed me when I prayed on my own. I had prayed as a child. I had prayed when I thought I was going to die. I had prayed many times for God to help me. I would pray later that same week and ask God to forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and baptize me with the Holy Spirit. I felt Gods love flow down over me when I was getting baptized in the Holy Spirit. It was the same anointing of love I felt when I prayed on my back lanai on Honolulu. Eventually I would feel that same anointing when I would talk to people about Jesus. It happened hundreds of times. But I will never forget the first time Jesus touched my heart. I knew that very moment, I would never forget the love I felt. WHAT IS TRUTH? God is truth. Muslims, Jews, and Christians all agree on that one statement. God is truth. Jesus said, “ I am the way the truth and the Life. No man can come to the Father but by me. ” Who is right?
