Good morning Treasure Coast!! We are again looking at a moisture - TopicsExpress

Good morning Treasure Coast!! We are again looking at a moisture laden day with a chance of thunderstorms and showers today. The rain chance is at 70%. Morning Cape soundings show plenty of moisture to start the rains again today. Deep moisture along and south of a frontal boundary will remain in place again today. Daytime heating along with the sea breeze will again trigger showers and thunderstorms. The latest HRRR model I just ran seems to be keeping the heaviest rain offshore and inland. Remember, this is just a model and things along the coast could get a lot wetter then it is showing. With the heavy rain and saturated ground, urban flooding and lightning strikes will be the big concerns today. The flood threat will be highest in eastern Volusia County where 6 inches of rain has already fallen. Any flood threats will be aggravated by more heavy rain. If you live near the Shingle Creek or St. Johns River pay close attention to the daily water levels of those waterways. The heavy rain threat will continue through the weekend. The following is a loop of the HRRR model for today....
