Good morning! We have now confirmed 7 tornadoes in northern Indiana from Monday nights storms. Our webstory has all the information, including path maps, at crh.noaa.gov/iwx/?n=july1st2014_severe Even if your location/county is not mentioned specifically in this write-up, we have been in contact with local emergency management in almost every county. Damage outside these confirmed tornadoes has been determined to be from straight-line winds in excess of 70-80 mph. These winds can cause more damage than a weak tornado would in some cases! Wind damage was fairly widespread and significant in some locations across N Indiana and SW lower Michigan. We have a few more areas to look at today and will post any updates to this page as needed!
