Good morning, Your Georgia Alpaca Association annual meeting is just a couple of weeks out. RSVP needed by 15 Aug 2014- GAA Annual Meeting 23 August 2014 This years lunch, meeting and dessert contest will be held at the Callaway (Administration) Building located in the State Botanical Garden of Georgia on the University of Georgia campus - just south of the S Athens Perimeter Hwy. The address is 2450 S Milledge Ave Athens, GA 30605 . I have attached a copy of the meeting location within the Garden (Hopefully this will help, also see the map link below). Please note that some GPS systems will route you to the Turner Sports Complex just north of the Gardens or just south of the Gardens at the intersection of S Milledge Ave and Simonton Bridge Rd/E Whitehall Rd. Lunch will be catered this year with fried catfish fillets, bar-b-que and trimmings being served at 12:00 so plan on arriving by 11:00/11:30. We will hold the business meeting after lunch and have the desert contest somewhere in there. Once the business meeting is concluded we will open up a round-table discussion. The topics are reasonably open for questions from the membership and will also include questions from your Board of Directors - How can our association better serve our members? What can be made available to Alpaca Owners that will help them succeed? Seminars are available, what topic(s) would prove beneficial? If you have questions/inquiries that you would like to have posed but will be unable to attend the meeting please feel free to send me an e-mail. We can get them on the floor and I will follow-up with you on the response. Please RSVP with the number of attendees before Friday 15 August 2014. Lunch will be provided for up to two (2) attendees per current GAA Farm or Associate Member. Additional lunch guest are $20 per person. If you have not renewed your membership you may do so at the meeting.
