Good morning all! Another great day expected today with clear skies, warm temperatures and low humidity. High pressure currently located in South Central Pennsylvania will continue to provide us with clear skies and dry weather today as it progress Southward. As seen in the coastal Southeast States, the cold front induced by the aforementioned high pressure area in PA has forced the front all the way to Florida. This surface high pressure is expected to continue moving Southward until it reaches a position in Northwest NC and Southwest VA. It is forecast to remain in place through at least mid-week as the area is fed warmer air with a Southwest flow developing by Tuesday. Temperatures will once again increase into the mid-upper 80s across the region, cooler near large bodies of water. Moisture will also increase across the region on Monday as a moisture belt across the North Central and Northern Mid-West States into New England spreads Southeastward with a cold front as the associated low pressure center moves Eastward across Southeast Canada. By early Tuesday, Pwat values should have already increased to 1.5+ inches so any thunderstorm can produce heavy rain on Tuesday or late Monday night. Moisture will temporarily decrease after the weak cold front, which should be causing precip. on Tuesday, stalls to the North. An increase in moisture again should be noted before stronger cold front will sweep through later on Wednesday night into Thursday where a threat for severe weather will exist with the very warm temperatures and higher humidity present. I will watch the potential for severe storms on Wednesday...although I will be starting school on Tuesday. I will try to keep everyone updated! Have a great Sunday!
