Good morning all! Boy did I enjoy my ride this morning. Sun is shining and it was so pretty in the woods. There were these little trees that had purple leaves, I want some for my yard! It takes us about an hour and 15-20 minutes to go through the whole thing. Load the dogs, go to WAWA for coffee then head back to Middle Creek and drive the dirt roads. I love that theres signs that say no winter maintenance. I love going back there when it snows. Its a tad chilly so Kenster is building a fire. Itll warm up in no time in here. I may just camp out on the sofa for a nap today. Ken has all kinds of outdoor things to do today. Building a better shed for firewood, scoop poop, take the trash to the dumpster at the shop and blow the leaves and nut hulls off the drive way. We have these huge nut trees that the squirrels delight in getting into and making a total mess of things. Good thing theyre cute little buggers and I enjoy watching them. Occasionally I put nuts in the yard for them and the chipmunks. The chippies are my favorites. Once when camping I was feeding the chipmunks and actually coaxed one to take a peanut out of my hand. It was adorable. I called it Sylvia! I always toss either pistachios or peanuts into the woods when camping. The results are always so cute. Well, I got the cats test results back and there is absolutely nothing wrong with him. Hes just old. Hes 18 1/2 yrs old. He has taken to pooping in my bay window so I thought something was wrong and had him checked out from stem to stern. Everything is good. We are trying harmonize stomach powder for him to get his poops regular again and hopefully he will start using the litter box again. This is a cat that in his prime weighed 16#. Now hes down to 7#. Theres nothing to him anymore. Weve also switched him to kitten chow for the fat content, and with the powder that goes on the food he gets about a tablespoon of fancy feast. He loves that. I just wish he wasnt so skinny. Ken and I were talking about Cayenne this morning and we just cant get over how quickly she has become a member of the pack. I have had to give a sharp nah about 3 times. There have been no discipline issues whatsoever. The other dogs are so well adjusted that they have trained her beautifully. She doesnt get into things, she likes her kennel, shes very good about going out and shes just such a sweet and smart little thing. Im impressed. I kind of wish her other mommy could see how well she adjusted to her new home. I have called her several times to let her know all is well, but if she could only see for herself. Have a wonderful day, Bright Blessings!
