Good morning all! Getting Cayennes paperwork in order so I can get her a lifetime license. Shes spayed and micro chipped so it only costs around $30 and because I work for the vet it only costs $5 to get her re registered with Home Again instead of 24 Pet Watch. Colleen said she would get it all worked out for me. Shes awesome! I like the lifetime license because I was always forgetting until half the year was gone then I would get it and it was just about time for a new one. My dogs wear their license, rabies tag and micro chip tag. I want to keep my babies safe. Zeus isnt himself this morning, he wouldnt take his biscuit and he gave it up to Cayenne. Have to keep an eye on him. Keeping an eye on the cat too. We both have the feeling the poor little dudes days are numbered. He eats but its such a small amount its incredible. He cant jump up onto the dryer anymore, he has to climb up a stairway Ken built. Hes so skinny he just about falls over when you pet him. Hes no longer pulling fur out, and he meows a lot less anymore. He was always so vocal. I am hoping he goes peacefully in his sleep and I dont have to make that decision. His tests show that theres nothing wrong with him, hes just a little old man. Ive had to make that decision for 4 dogs and its so damn painful. I had to do it for our cat Lil Bit too. Squeek has been around for so long, hes known everyone of our 9 dogs. I just cant hack his inappropriate elimination at this point. That seems to be his only issue. Im not putting him down for that. Its another beautiful morning out there, a bit windy. The rain yesterday had the roads a little slippery, my ass end came around on a sharp curve, that was a little scary. It hadnt rained in a while, I should have known better. Ken is checking out a Dodge Durango for me. It seats 7 and its blue, thats all I know about it so far. Hes driving it for a few days to see if he really wants it. As long as its a Dodge I dont mind. Has a bigger motor than my Jeep too. I like that! I like being able to pick up speed going up hill and for anyone local thats familiar with Ridge Ave., I can go like crazy up that hill! Im spoiled rotten and do not want to ever have to deal with a 4 cyl. again. Unfortunately the gas price is a bit of a problem. $70 a week is a lot of money at the end of the month. Well, it seems my husband has successfully opened a business account at our personal bank and just cant wait to tell Santander to go pound sand! I cannot wait for the day I dont have to stop there in the morning and wait and wait and wait because they have no one working the drive up. The inside counter comes first, forget about the drive up. I dont go in because I am afraid I wont be able to help myself and be incredibly rude to the so called management. So I wait at the drive up. My husbands sister works there and I dont want to be an ass around her, shes too nice for that. Its bad enough shes seen her brother at the end of his rope going off. We really hate that bank! Just remembered to fill my water bottle and put it in the freezer for work this afternoon. Hopefully the book is full and its a busy evening. I like when it moves right along. I get my filing done immediately, then file each one as it comes out every time so it stays caught up. Then I have time to do other things and not feel overwhelmed. I get my clients up on the computer so Im not searching as they come in, I know whos who and where they belong. Then Im available if Im needed by a tech or if the phone suddenly decides to ring off the hook. I have a whole routine I get into at night. Im one of those people that if theres something to be done (at work) I do it and get it over with. At home its a totally different story! 27 years ago I took a clerical course. There were no computers. I can do what Ive been taught to do, but I cannot do anything to fix a computer problem and get scared when something isnt doing what its supposed to. I dont want to be the one to have broken an expensive piece of equipment. I just want it to do what its supposed to do without asking me any stupid questions along the way. Kind of like me I guess. I was the best filer and worst typist in my class. I have gotten better at typing, but I still look at the keys and use 2 fingers. I was also good at answering the phone. I think Im a good receptionist. I love what I do anyway. Ive only had one complaint and my boss fired her as a client. I am well liked by staff and clients alike. I like to be of help.
