Good morning all...I wish you all a blessed Sunday morning...Its been a while since Ive actually posted anything and I want to get this off my chest...As some of you may know that Ive moved into my own spot back in September, and Im currently fixing the place up to my standards...Back in August(21st to be exact), I purchased and paid cash for a living room/dining room set from the Ashley Furniture Store(Delmar, DE)...The first attempt to deliver the furniture wasnt until the second week of November, due to their lack of communication...At first, I was going to cancel my order and I was told that if I did, they would reimburse me with a check within 7-10 business days...I gave in and let them deliver my purchase...For the inconvenience of me waiting so long, the manager had taken the delivery charges off the bill which wouldve gave me a few dollars....I was told that the deliveryman would bring me a check on the day of the delivery...When they arrived, the sofa wouldnt fit into the apartment and I told them to take everything back...I wanted all of my stuff at one time, and there was no check...I went back that same day and reordered a sectional set based on the salesman and supposedly the delivery mans recommendation...My furniture was suppose to be here the Saturday after Black Friday...That didnt happen...They finally arrived yesterday and the sectional wouldnt fit either...I went back to the store and the salesman was trying to be helpful, but I wanted to speak with someone with some authority...I picked out a love seat which would fit and I asked about two chairs that matched...The salesman said that he would look into it and he came back saying that the price was $230 more than my original purchase and he wasnt authorized to make a swap as such...I told him to find someone that could...15mins later, the owners son, Justin approaches me...I told him about my ordeal and this man apologizes for the mixup in communications, but begins to blame me for all thats taking place...He felt that because I was never charged a delivery fee during both deliveries, I had already gotten over on the company...By that time I was about to lose my composure because Ive been seriously inconvenienced and I know that its not their fault about the furniture not fitting, but what happened to making the customer feel like you want their service...With his arrogance being displayed, a friend that was with me told me to just get my money refunded...Still maintaining my composure, I told them that I was no longer interested in making a purchase...Now I gotta wait 7-10 business days to receive a check....I would like to hear your responses on this situation...Ashley Furniture Store will never have to worry about me ever again....
