Good morning all, this is a post I really do not like to have to put up. We have been having a problem with the "toy room". It is not fair to the volunteers to continually pick up the mess left behind by unattended children. I have warned mothers, I have put signs up all over the store and yet the problem continues. With the children being out for summer vacation the problem is only escalating. There is always so much work and so few hands that spending 20 minutes or so several times a day picking up the toy room is not cost effective. Plus when the children rip open the bags and there are small pieces on the floor it is a major liability to the Thrift Shop. At this point I have made the decision to do away with the toy section. I am sorry that it has come to this. Large items such as bikes and outside toys will be put out on the front lawn. Again I am sorry to have to post this and perhaps we can start stocking toys again at a future date. As always thank you for supporting your post Thrift Shop.
