Good morning and coffee cheers to everyone :) . Sometimes when we fall ill, it may carry extra baggage with it called depression. Its by no fault of your own, its just that some things can be so overwhelming. Serotonin plays a big roll in the depression we feel and believe it or not, you can boost your serotonin levels a bit on your own without medication. Exercise is an excellent way to raise serotonin levels, dont over do it, even light aerobics, yoga, Tai Chi and meditation are some of the easiest yet still effective ways achieve this. Eating smaller more frequent meals high in protein, but less in carbs or starchy food like white rice, white bread and white potatoes. Instead use brown rice, red potatoes, peanut butter, nuts, whole grains, deli turkey, fruits and vegetables the brighter the better, as an example of some foods that help boost serotonin levels. It is possible to LIVE a happy life with fewer medications with proper diet and exercise. Music is a great way to boost happiness levels as well so you can put that SMILE back on your face and a little LAUGHTER in your life.
