Good morning and good thoughts & prayers to you all! Casey says to me, Mom when I was little, I dont think I thought about what I wanted to do, but Kyle always knew that he wanted to be a policeman and he is doing it. My response was simply this. Dear Casey, most kids who become fire fighters, police officers, even doctors, dream of it from the time they were little. They at some point were drawn to it and desire it. No 5 yr-old says, I want to be an accountant or a network administrator or a mathematician. Lol. Those fields arent out there in the public saving lives, arresting the bad guys, or putting out fires. BIG KUDOS to Kyle though. I never thought being a cop would be that tough to get into but it really FREAKIN is. Theres so much you CANT do to even be able to be considered. The military has some restrictions, but nothing like the process that Kyle had to go through. Extensive background check, polygraph, interviews, more of this and that. He has stayed away from parties and other things since high school to avoid any unlawful things that might occur. Even points against your license for speeding alone can take that dream away from you. Now he is doing it. He started his first job as a cop last week. Hard part for Casey and Kyles mom has just begun, the worry part, but they seem ok. I will say this .. its pretty cool to witness a dream come true. :) YAY DREAMS!! Especially when they turn into REALITY!! Now its time to chase your dreams but you have to get out of bed to do it!! Have a great day people.
