Good morning and happy Melbourne Cup Day! Heres hoping you back a winner. Speaking of winning, thought I would share a couple of interviews of AGPC Grant Field Golf Student Cameron Smith (golfer) in the weeks leading up to the CIMB Classic. Notice he has a plan, he set his intent to finish in the top 10 of the Asian Tour order of merit in order to qualify for the CIMB Classic. Then Cam set about making it happen. The first interview was a full month ago, Notice Cams eyes focus when he is asked what is his target with regard to the order of merit. Cam speaks of having a sold game plan, sticking to it and in particular having a goal, Cams goal re: The Order Of Merit was getting into the top 10 and securing a spot in the CIMB Classic. In both interviews Cam mentions the importance of his game plan, sticking to his process, preparing himself both on & off the course and applying 100 percent effort. After finishing T5 at the PGA TOUR event in Malaysia, Cam now sits 4th on the Asian Tour Order of Merit and now heads to the USA to play in the Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi. Cams point of difference besides pure talent is his work ethic and belief in his process. Cam simply wants to get better and DOES exactly that by taking ACTION! Cam spent a week at home in Brisbane working harder than ever on his process under the eagle eye of his coach and mentor Grant Field, who was on Cams bag for the CIMB Classic. Cam has been a student of Grants for 9 years now and above anything else consistently works extremely harder than most, has a process & always strives to get better, & ALWAYS with a plan.
