Good morning and happy Monday.. Hope Dads a great day yesterday... Well typical June week. Read below for discussion.. Looks like pattern change by next week! Get ready for heat next week... Enjoy....Sam A few scattered afternoon t’storms are possible this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon as a couple fronts cross the area followed by high pressure out of Canada that will dominate our weather with four (4) consecutive days of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable sleeping nights. Highs will average in the upper 70’s to lower and middle 80’s, overnight lows will average in the 50’s and 60’s. This high will slowly move off the southeast coast and set-up shop across Bermuda and transport heat and humidity into southern New England as our cool, wet June pattern is about to undergo a major a pattern reversal by next week. The east coast trough that has been responsible for the heavy rains during the couple of weeks; will be replaced by a big Bermuda High Pressure Ridge that could potentially bring prolonged heat into Connecticut for several weeks. The transition period will be late Sunday when a warm front will cross the region with more showers and t’storms followed by 90 degree heat by next week with that southwest flow taking over increasing the humidity as well. Rest of Forecast: Tonight: Partly cloudy, patchy fog. Low: 55-65. Tomorrow: Partly sunny, humid, chance for aft/eve t’storms. High: Low 80’s. Wednesday: A mix of sun & clouds, breezy and comfortable. High: 75-80. Thu & Fri: Mostly sunny dry and pleasant. High: Low 80’s
