Good morning beautiful peeps!!! Reading Matthew 17 this morning and verses 14-21 got me. The part about faith that moves mountains. As I read these scripture, the part that got me this morning was that this man with a lunatic son had brought his son to the disciples before he took him to Jesus. The disciples couldnt understand why the couldnt cast out the devil. Jesus told them because of your unbelief!!!! Ok these guys kicked it with Jesus everyday and knew what He was capable of but they still had unbelief. They had the power and authority to do exactly what Jesus was doing but just like us they were a little depleted in the faith department. The Word goes on to say if we have faith as small as a mustard seed we can move mountains. But it also says this kind goeth NOT out BUT by praying and fasting. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Had to ask myself when the last time I fasted from something I enjoyed. I remember when and I remember how awesome that journey was. We are to fast in private though, not walk around bragging about it. We are to go about our daily business as normal. Mountain moving faith is what we yearn for, now we know how to obtain it, by prayer and fasting!!! As I was climbing pinnacle the other day, it was hard especially the closer I got to the top. It was physically hard on me because Im out of shape. I was maybe 100 yards from the top and I wanted to quit but I kept talking to God and myself. It was a heart thing for me. I couldnt quit because I wanted to make it to the top so bad. If I had quit I would have been disappointed in myself so bad. My physical strength came from my God because I knew what He had for me at the top of that mountain. It was more than just the beauty that lay on the other side, it was the victory that when I made it up that I could say I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Reading these verses this morning showed me two things about the mountains in our lives: 1- we can climb them and conquer them or 2- we can move that mountain out of our way. Either way if we believe that God is who He says He is then we can do this through Him!!! Two keywords not to forget... FASTING AND PRAYING!!!! Now lets move those mountains we are facing or lets climb them and conquer them. Pray and fast and God will reveal which ones need to be moved and which ones need to be climbed and conquered!!!
