Good morning dear Friends: Last night the NunautaKavut Community Council (NCC) commenced its Annual General Assembly. It was a packed meeting hall and to begin with the Act of Remembrance to honour our veterans, the Lighting of the kudlik a traditional seal oil lamp, and to hear the Goose Bay drum dancers was deeply moving and special. It was an honour to present the NCC Annual report to delegates. We took the time to both celebrate our collective achievements and to prepare for the challenges ahead. What a privilege to be part of a community of such good people and to lead such a tremendous organization. Although it is a stormy day our AGA meeting continues this morning and runs until 4 pm at the Hotel North II followed by our banquet at 7pm. If you can come out and join us please do so.
