Good morning everybody. My Password for today is... Galatians 5v1: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Paul is bringing his letter to an end and the crystallises his thoughts into this beautiful phrase. He uses the word of the military. Stand fast. The idea is of a unit on the battle field. They are to hold the central ground. Shields up and linked together they are impenetrable. He is no asking them to do anything but to stand solid united and strong. He says stand in the liberty in which Christ has made you free. Sometimes in life we fight for our freedom here we fight to remain free in Christ. Christ has paid the debt we owe for sins committed and liberated us from slavery to the Mosaic law. So says Paul dont get entangled again in the yoke of bondage. Some times oxen or horses would try in their eagerness to get themselves into the yoke to begin the days work and it would be a comical sight to come into the stable and find the horse all tied up with a foot in the wrong strap and his head backwards in the bridle.
