Good morning everyone! Happy Giving Tuesday! After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday marks a day for giving back. As some of you know I am participating in a two year conservation course, where my team is working on an international awareness campaign for giant armadillos (did you know they are 5 feet long and 100 lbs?! Talk about a GIANT armadillo!) We are using today to launch our Team Giant Armadillo fundraising campaign: gofundme/56mp6g. Join EWCL Team Giant Armadillo and our partners at the Pantanal Giant Armadillo Project on a campaign to advance armadillo conservation! Your donation will help us raise awareness about this threatened and elusive ecosystem engineer by working with media outlets and zoos around the world to increase on-the-ground conservation efforts. And with the selection of the indigenous three-banded armadillo as the 2014 FIFA World Cup mascot in Brazil, the timing of this campaign couldnt be better.
