Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well today. We have had a few professional logo designers contact us with concerns over the prize we offer for our ongoing logo competition. Whilst we understand your concerns, we would like to make it clear that the competition is not initially aimed at professionals. We have targeted the "market" of eager fans who have talents in design, but do not necessarily do this for a job. From past experience, we know that many are more than willing to collaborate without requiring a fee, whilst still being able to produce professional quality designs. Why have we chosen this approach? Simply because things are financially tight for us at the moment. We are not a business, and our work is all purely voluntary. The money we spend on our project comes from our own pockets, anc has done for the past 3 years. As stated in the comments to the contest offer, we will accept entries from professional designers, but we will not offer your entries any favouritism. Professional designers who have - and who are thinking of - sending us their portfolios are welcome. In this case we will consider business should there be no entries to our present contest. Should the logo chosen be designed by a professional, we will naturally include a fee if required, just as we have paid fir our website design. We are however becoming tired of those few professionals who are seeking to undermine our reputation and approach to our fans and project publicly via Twitter. We have been dealing with all types of fans for three years and have worked with professional industries before. We do know what we are doing. This is NOT a contest aimed foremost at professionals. We are doing nothing illegal with our contest; we have not engaged anyone in business with a refusal to pay. Please take the time to read ALL the info before criticizing us. We will not close the competition and break the law under pressure from you. Team JB Admin
