Good morning, everyone. I guess I gotta say it now.. yes, Im finally on board with the Lions now, they have convinced me now that they actually are a good football team headed to the playoffs most likely. Ive seen good starts from them before, only to watch them fall off the Earth.. however, this team is different in that they really do have 3 guys on offense with big play capabilities in Stafford, Johnson, and Bush. As long as those 3 stay in one piece then these guys have enough firepower between them to usually overcome the shortcomings on defense. Another 3 NFC wins should send them to the playoffs. In order to win any playoff games, theyll need to enter as the division winner though, and for that, theyll probably need an 11-5 finish, but given their remaining schedule, if they remain healthy then that becomes a distinct possibility. That said, the bosses of the NFC are likely going to be Seattle and New Orleans, so I cant see Detroit getting past either of those in the playoffs, but to even get there is much better than I had the Lions figured for. Nice to see a Detroit team of relevance for a change besides just the Tigers and Red Wings year after year ;-)
