Good morning everyone! I just want to give a shout out to my husband Dan McMillan, Clerk Treasurer, City of Beech Grove. The State Board of Accounts just released the audit on Monday and wow!!! It is great ! Before Daniel took office in 2012 the previous audits were an embarrassment to Beech Grove. We deserved better. Errors galore and the last audit before he took office, the city had overspent the budget by over 1 million dollars.That doesnt happen anymore! Here is the link to the audit just released and below in comments I will provide a link to the last audit before he took office. Stay tuned for more good news coming soon! He promised to do two things -improve the audits and build a website. He has done both! The audits are a huge improvement, the city website is second to none (at no cost to the taxpayer) and the City of Beech Grove is in better financial shape than it has been in years. Bank balances dont lie. You dont get to this place without ruffling a few feathers and he has ruffled them! Expect to see the garbage spewed over the next year, but as he always says if you have any questions his door is always open, and you can request any document you care to.
