Weather Situation A high pressure near Tasmania extends a ridge along Queenslands east coast, and is expected to cause winds to freshen near the coast south of about St. Lawrence during today. A surface trough is expected to move eastwards across southern Queensland from late Tuesday, and will be accompanied by an upper level trough further to the west. Forecast for the rest of Monday Areas of thundery rain near the southeast coast early in the day, contracting northwards during the afternoon and evening. Scattered showers over the southeast interior, easing during the day. Isolated showers about the remainder of the east coast. Fine and mostly sunny over the remainder of the state. Light to moderate east to southeast winds across most of the state, fresh at times about parts of the states far east. ____________________________________________________ Todays official forecast for the Herbert and Lower Burdekin and surrounds Sunny morning.
