Good morning everyone! Shepherds pie with lamb, roasted onion, baby leek, braising greens, and saffron creme fraiche whipped potatoes is making much sense of these cools days we are having - on our lunch break yesterday we noticed some leaves have started turning and falling, seasons perhaps beginning to shift a bit, memories of warm, golden hued, and shorter days coming to mind. Sticking to this week! Weve got a new romanesco dish with pickled onion, turmeric, and yogurt; our savory porridge is coming with wheat berries, roasted turnips, buttermilk, lovage, summer shallots, and an egg; were doing a preserved eggplant tartine with elderflower brie and tomatoes; the wondrous tomato consommé stays for another week. The quiche is potatoes, thyme, and kale, and there will be more new things rolling out throughout the week: donuts today perhaps, some beautiful linzer cookies also today, hopefully some new pecan croissants weve come up with, and more savory items as we see what comes in from the market today and where everything seems to be flowing.
