Good morning everyone. Sitting in church on Sunday our Pastor - TopicsExpress

Good morning everyone. Sitting in church on Sunday our Pastor David Brooks read scripture and preached on coming to church. Why do we come, to fulfill what we feel is an obligation or to truly worship God. We were reminded that only ourselves could answer this. I would like to speak based on my person experience and what I can share based on our service and what I got from the message. For many years of my life I served in many roles in my church. For many of those years I can and must unfortunately admit that I did go at time without the desire to go, yet to fulfill my obligation to the church. Later I drifted away from church because I got tired of fulfilling my obligations, likely because I was going for that reason only. After I was diagnosed with cancer God returned to me the joy of my salvation and I became truly CONNECT to God through his Holy Spirit. Praise God. I can truly say that my Connect with God has never been this way. I am truly connected, I eat, breathe, and live his spirit every second of the day. I hold pray in my heart every minute of the day for someone or some situation that I am aware of. God has been loyal to me because I am loyal to him. I wish I knew how to tell you to get to the same place I am so you too can be connected. I know that it doesnt take a tragedy to get you where I am. I expect it only takes some bended knees and prayer that God will take you and hold you as tight as you can be held. Make that commitment of connection to him, read your Bible daily and pray that his words be absorbed into your soul that it may flow through you and to others. Pray for every soul that cries out for mercy, pray out for those that ask you to and do it with an open an earnest heart and to a point that tears flow from your eyes. This is when youll know that you are connected. God bless you and I pray with tears in my eyes that God gives you this blessing of connection and you feel the Holy Spirit connect this day. I love you in Jesus Christ. Luke 7: Verse 37 - 39, 43 - 45. These scripture show and tell of a truly connected person, one that was a sinner and was filled with the Holy Spirit. Interrupted a household, began to anoint Jesuss feet with priceless oil, and wash his feet with tears from her eyes and dry his feet with her hair. Tear flowing shows the Holy Spirit connection. Are you connected? Do you shed tears when you read about the sacrifice that God made when his son Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross? Do you shed tears when Christ cried out my Father, Why have thou forsaken me? I pray these scriptures help each one today to be connected and or be reconnected as you were the day of you acceptance of him as your savior. Sorry my post was so long, but I woke up with this message on my heart and just had to pass it along. I love each one in the name of Jesus. I pray this day is special to you. I pray for all those that are sick with the Flu which are many. even so in my family. I pray for Pat Gelisse and the visit with her new doctor. I pray that new things are discovered to make her better with her heart. God bless this visit, the Doctor and may all that is needed to be known to revealed so the Doctor understands fully. God guide this doctor in his understanding and his approach going forward. We love you in Jesus Christs name. Rick and Ann Mays
