Good morning everyone! We have an official announcement to make. Since we opened our doors 13 months ago, weve had an incredible time hosting, meeting and partying with so many of you wonderful people. With NXNE wrapping up last night, weve decided that now is the appropriate time to let you know of the changes that are happening at Baltic Avenue. First of all, June 30th will be our last day operating as Baltic Avenue the event venue. We still have a full week of fun events including Wednesdays Stage Time with Wayne Jones, featuring some of the top comedians in Canada, live music on Thursday & Friday, and a HUGE final goodbye party on Saturday night featuring the strip-comedy show Skinprov at 9:00pm to kick things off. The changes we are making are exciting. First of all, we will be closed for renovations in July and into August. During this time, we will be transforming into the new home of Torontos very own, acclaimed Bad Dog Theatre. If you know Bad Dog Theatre, you know why were excited. If you dont know them, Bad Dog Theatre is one of Torontos premier improv training schools and performance companies. The new space will feature a fully-equipped theatre, classroom space and of course, a bar to socialize in and enjoy cold drinks. While we cant wait for Bad Dog to take over the space and make people laugh on a daily basis, we will still miss all of our party animals weve come to know and love. Id like to say a huge thank you to and from all of our staff. Without our hard-working bartenders, house staff, security, promotions, sound and door people, we never would have had so much fun and so many awesome nights. Most importantly, wed like to thank you, our customers. Ive had the pleasure of getting to know many of you on a personal basis, and many more Ive had the pleasure of celebrating a birthday, event, or simply the night and the music with. All of us at Baltic thank you very much for being such a good crowd and such fun people.
