Good morning everyone, its down to the wire, I have talked to alot of people, but I better get on facebook and post some of my visions for the Sheriffs Office and hopefully this will answer some of the questions for those who are still undecided, or just want to know about me, or my vision for the Sheriffs Office. First off I will make limited reorganization so the department can run more efficiently, and help support the missions of all law enforcement agencies in the County I believe since we are the only law enforcement for most of the smaller communities in the County. I believe they deserve more than they get. We need to be involved in these communities, whether it is community awareness programs, seat belt programs...all the services we offer in Rock Springs and Green River we should provide to them also. I would institute monthly Intra-agency meetings with our neighboring County agencies, State agencies, federal agencies to share intelligence, things happening in one jurisdiction more than likely are affecting others. I believe that our Deputies should be held to a higher standard then our citizens, and the Sheriff should be held to an even higher standard then his Deputies, after all he is the figurehead of the department. I will implement physical fitness standards for the department, I will be personally involved in supporting our volunteer groups, search and Rescue, Dive team, Community Emergency Response Team, Sweetwater County Animal Rescue Team, and Amateur Radio Emergency Service. Volunteers are a critical resource to supplement manpower in a disaster or emergency. My objective is to continue to provide the best service I can to Sweetwater County, and lead by example. I hope this helped, I could go on obviously and if you want to know more I will be more than happy to answer those questions.
