Weather Situation A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the Queensland east coast. The high is expected to slowly move eastwards over the next few days while relaxing the ridge along the Queensland east coast. A surface trough and an associated upper level trough situated over Queenslands southern interior are expected to move eastwards during today, before pushing off the coast early Friday. Forecast for the rest of Thursday Isolated showers over eastern districts, mostly in the morning. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the southern interior, extending to southeast and central parts during the afternoon and evening. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Moderate east to northeasterly winds near the coast, fresh and gusty at times. A west to southwesterly wind change spreading across southern districts. ___________________________________________________ Todays official forecast for the Herbert and Lower Burdekin and surrounds.
