Good morning friends and crazy cousins, Yesterday, I witnessed by far the most touching and inspiring dose of reality and life lessons by high school student athletes - EVER. Huron High School and St. Marys Central Catholic football players, cheerleaders, bands, coaching staffs, and football fans gathered at Kalahari Field and Huron Memorial Stadium to host VICTORY DAY. This was an opportunity for special needs children to experience a football game like experience by playing football, cheerleading, or playing in the band. Every participant was able to run or catch a touchdown in a game like experience with both schools student athletes playing offense or defense. The smiles and excitement on the VICTORY DAY participants as they crossed the goal line for their touchdown brought joy to them and certainly had a few wet eyes in the stands. It is hard for me to describe the emotions. **If you take a moment to look at the attached photos and faces of these special children, it will give you a glimpse into what Im trying to describe. This was a teaching moment for high school student athletes that life is greater than them and to remain selfless to a more common good. It was a success and the two communities can hold their heads high that they made a difference in those VICTORY DAY participants lives. WOW!!! Only those who have learned the power of sincere and selfless contribution experience lifes deepest joy: true fulfillment. Tony Robbins Be selfless today......stay safe!!
