Good morning friends, have a great day today. I want to share an experience I had yesterday at SuperPharm Trinidad & Tobago in Valsayn. I pulled up into the parking lot looking for a space, and ironically the only space available was the one assigned for disabled drivers. This space is not always my first option, but I was left without any choice. There was a cone blocking the spot so I took down my window and ever so nicely asked the guard to move the cone so I can park, her response to me was No, this space is for handicapped drivers, and you dont look handicapped. After sweet talking her a bit, she removed the cone. When I got out of the car, she was then able to see the real me. Clearly embarrassed, she apologised profusely. I told het no need for apologies, as this happens all the time. Now while I felt no ill towards her, because I dont consider myself as disabled, it clearly meant that we are still a population that judges on appearances. This is something we have to change in this country. Lesson for today, Never judge a book by its cover.......
