Good morning from Seattle, the driest city in America. Debarkation started at 7:20am and we have 484 guests already off the ship with over half of the 2500 deciding to use the self-assist program. There will be a blog along later today with information on the Carnival’s Pirate day and much more. Meanwhile I have a busy day here and so let’s crack on with Tuesday’s bits and pieces. We have a group of 500 Chinese American’s sailing today. They are part of one organisation and have lots of meetings and conferences during the port days when we are able to give them the main theatre. They have one at 10:00am during our passage through Tracy Arm Fjord…………….I wonder how many will actually go to the meeting and not enjoy the beauty outside. We shall see. We also have a Church group of 70 from a United Methodist Church in Utah and a Corvette Car Club group of 48. These two groups will have a shared cocktail party tonight………………… Captain Luca leaves on vacation today and Captain Vito returns and we also have 68 other crew who are heading home and I thank them all for their hard work and dedication. Joining us today are 70 crew including: Miguel from Honduras, a storekeeper who has been with Carnival for 12 years Tauheed from Indonesia, a Comiss Chef who has been with us now for 4 years Schu from the distant land of Mirimar ( formally Burmah) a waiter who has worked for the best cruise line in the world for 5 years OK, I had better crack on with some Q and A and debarkation, all done in my underpants……………….wish you were here
