Good morning members. This is a bit of a news flash and a request at the same time. We are doing a film project for the Great Lakes Commons map that you can find online. The idea is that we all have a right to the clean, healthy water of our Great Lakes and Lake Simcoe but that we also have a responsibility to do what we can to care for these waters. They are impacted so heavily by all kinds of human activity and we need to be aware and to share what we love about our waters. Our film contribution to the Great Lakes Commons map project is meant to illustrate our long historical and spiritual connections to our waters. We have the perspective of an elder, a government representative and one of our water walkers. Wed like you to contribute too, especially if you live on or around the watershed of Lake Simcoe. Wed like beautiful pictures but wed also like photographic proof of our need to be active in protecting the lake. We have a short timeframe to work in because wed like to upload our video to the site early in the new year so if you have a photo youd like to share please upload it as soon as you can. Youll receive our deepest appreciation and a credit in the film. Take a look at the Great Lakes Commons map and share the word about this project and other projects that promote increased awareness about loving, healing and working for the well being of all our sacred waters.
