Good morning my amazing family. Waking up saying good bye to March and hello April as weve lived and thrived another month and for this I say Thank You Magnificent God. Dont yall love waking up this time of the year and smelling spring outside? Had to run a quick errand this morning and since we live by both an elementary and high school I was praying for all those young minds as they were walking to school. If you live here in Texas and are a parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent yall are aware that the state test STAAR begins today and goes on until Friday. I ask that yall please take a few seconds out of your day to say a prayer for these kids, their teachers and administrators as Ive been witness to the incredible pressure everyone is under. It saddens me that since its inception No Child Left Behind has certainly left a huge chunk of children behind. As an administrator it broke my heart as I would walk a child to the nurse because they are physically ill at the thought of failing a test that most superintendents, school boards and politicians would and have miserably failed but yet expect children of all educational levels to pass. Im not meaning this to sound political, but my education family knows of what I speak of. Again my dear family Im just asking you take a few moments and lift all involved with the STAAR test with prayers to heaven. Again in us doing so, we continue to serve our Papa God by looking out for each other. I dedicate this post this morning to all my beautiful and stressed out educators who give their blood, sweat and tears to ensure a quality and fair education is given to all our students regardless of learning potential. Family hope this doesnt sound too preachy this morning but just had to get prayer going for every student, teacher and administrator who certainly need it. Have a most positive and productive day which it will be when you choose to make it your day.
