Good morning my friends...I had a very upsetting day yesterday. I had an apt with an appliance repair man. He arrived on time. After I let him in I noticed he did not have a shirt on with the business name or a lettered truck. I asked for his business card and he had forgotten it . I became extremely uncomfortable with him in my house. I grabbed my handbag and sat on my deck. He could not fix the washer...needs parts and said I was to put vinegar in the dishwasher. I paid him... he left. I was shaking like a leaf. I called the number for the shop. It turns out that the number went to a call service in costa rica.....I then asked to speak to the manager and that sent me to a man in Tennessee . I do not know WHO was in my house. They claim they are legitimate and route calls for repair men. The manager in Memphis did not know the MAN that came to my house. I have stopped my credit card, and I am meeting with the police today. I just wanted to share....by the way my washer still works....no parts needed! and the dishwasher still needs to be fixed. I was probably scammed. The lesson learned.....ask a lot more questions and I should not have opened my door.....go with your gut......it normally is right. I will see you tonight at midnight....getting some rest. :)
