Good morning my friends. I hope nobody ever tells me to go take a cold shower again. God bless our daughter Lisa and her family to let me come to their home each morning and take a nice warm shower. We have a terrible case of the old water-heater virus. Our poor water heater was dead when we got home Tuesday night and had to have emergency surgery, but some things went awry during the operation and some parts had to be overnighted. Well, we received them as promised, but something was left out that was severely needed to complete the operation. Perhaps it is experiencing rejection with the new parts. We can’t afford a new water-heater right now and were trying to save some money, but now I’m beginning to wonder if we should have just taken it and buried it alongside Gigi at the edge of the woods and got a brand new one. If we would have done that, perhaps I would have outlived the new one. I have never had to replace a water-heater in my entire life and don’t know what happened to ours. We have always been very good to it and treated it well. You won’t believe it, but our next-door neighbor’s water-heater died on the same day. I told you I thought it was a virus. So beware to all my neighbors, check your beloved water-heater now before it’s too late. Well, I had better wet my hair down and try to sneak to the gallery for breakfast before anyone sees me with my hair sticking up in every direction and in my unshaven state. I can’t wait until 8:00 to eat my cheeses crackers and ginger snaps. Thankfully, they don’t give a rat’s hat how I look while dining and reading my paper. Hopefully we will receive some good news this morning that the operation was a total success and the good docs will tell us that they think our water-heater will live to a ripe old age. Yes, aging is a terrible thing to go through, but a water-heater has to do what a water-heater has to do. At least it doesn’t have to pay for the operation now that we have the Affordable Care Act in place. I hope its insurance covers existing health problems and that that the policy is paid up to date or we are in deep doodoo. Maybe I need to have some serious prayer over it…that always seems to work.
