Good morning my friends. I hope you all have a dandy day. I plan on one. As it is the 4th Thursday of the month, we will be attending the Mooresville/Lake Norman Exchange Club meeting at noon. We have so much fun and will be inducting more new members today. I hate to be the one to brag, but my wife is doing an outstanding job as president and our club is the most excited I have seen it in years. Thanks to the dedication of our members we are accomplishing much in our community to make it a better place to live. Come and join us some time and join in the fun. Well, I hope you have been enjoying the nice spring-like weather we have been having because it is about to end. Put up your shorts and tee shirts for a little while longer for spring is just around the corner…well, maybe a few corners yet. I can hardly wait to get out in the sunshine and start taking pictures of the pretty spring flowers, but will probably end up taking some snow pictures yet. You might have noticed that the Good Lord has a sense of humor and loves to play tricks on His children. I love to see the snow fall as much as anybody, but as I have gotten a little older, I have found that looking at the snow falling and taking pictures of it is about as much fun as I can handle these days. I don’t even have any clothes that are suitable to wear in the snow. At least I don’t have to put on my old patched jeans and rubber boots and track out to the woods and check on the rabbit hollows in the cold anymore…I don’t get to eat any rabbits anymore, either. We ate lots of rabbits when we were growing up and squirrels, too. In fact we ate just about everything we raised, grew, shot, or hooked and never went hungry. I wasn’t a big fan of some of the things we had for supper, like liver for instance, and went to bed hungry when we had that nasty stuff. Our parents never asked us what we wanted for supper or we would have had hot dogs every night, they fixed what they had or could afford and we ate it if we were hungry enough. I never had any trouble about my weight when I was young. I had asthma all my life and it took most of my energy to breathe and I was so skinny that if I turned sideways and stuck out my tongue, I looked like a zipper. Anyway, my asthma is better and so is my weight. Now, I am trying to lose a little…funny how things change in one’s life. I hope you all have a good day that is filled with sunshine and happiness. Hugs always help!! God Bless!!
