Good morning on a cold but fine sunday morning just after 6am.Im dropping steven off at Towneley golf club later where he is representing the club in the 5 man Daily Mail golf competition.He shot a 66 in yesterdays latest competition and won it.i was very proud when he told me .I passed on my love for golf to the boys when they were very young and use to take them to the pitch and putt course up at Towenely where they learnt the basics.I cant say I taught them everything they knew cos Im bloddy useless but they did have lessons from Simon Eaton who is the pro at Nelson golf club and a great lad who helped them a lot.Anyway good luck to the Towneley team today in a tough competition.My mate Tony also plays in this for Mytton Fold golf club.I dont know if anyone as ever played this course but some of the holes are on a steep hillside and its so steep goats can be found grazing on the grass .....lol... I aso passed on my love for everything Burnley FC to the boys as well and this season is one of those seasons they thank me for it....lol..most seasons they dont...lol..I still cant believe we are where we are in the league with such a small squad.I keep pinching myself to make sure Im awake and not just dreaming.All football fans dream of watching their team in the Premier League.We have done this once but we are better prepared this time than the last time if it happens... Im off to the paper shop soon to get my papers to do my paper review this morning.Just before ten I will be dropping steven of at Towneley and taking a friend to Tescos.I will try and get to the gym later today if I can drag myself away from the footy on TV.Yesterday I did not go as I was watching the drama of the 6 nations rugby union championships unfold and in the end Ireland pipped England to the title on points difference.England are improving all the time which is a good sign as the world Cup of rugby is coming up next year. I hope everyone else is having a good time this weekend...have a great day...
