Good morning, one year ago my life was changed in a blink of a eye! My partner of 34 years died suddenly, it has been a year of firsts but with the support of my children, family and friends, especially my bestie Beth, Ive made it. I miss Mikes smile, his complaining about the heat, the cold, the gnats, the mosquitoes, about where Iplant a flower or bush, the bad news on Tv but most of all I miss hearing his voice telling me he loves me and him calling me woman (that was what he called me, more than my name) I miss our early morning coffees, breakfasts, and just sitting at the kitchen table talking. I miss cooking for Mike, he was a willing person to try my yankee way of cooking but over the years I cooked his way. Guess I can tell it now, Mike: you know that first pan of beans, taters, and cornbread, I made you, well I didnt make it I had a neighbor do it, I didnt have a clue how to cook it so when you requested it I just smiled and said sure, I miss walking around the yard everyday when the weather was nice, just looking at the plants, I miss Mike taking me fishing, he could remember every good treetop in the lake and even though I cant swim a stroke, I was never afraid to be in the boat with him, he always told me hed save me, and I knew he would. I know hes smiling down on me, I love you and miss you Mike Cox . Everyone have a good day, kiss your partner, make a memory
