Good morning relatives! Its another beautiful day in the Turtle Mountains with the sun shining on a new day. This morning as I prayed to the east as the sun came up I was reminded of a teaching an elder medicine woman told me when my grandmother passed into the spirit world...she said be gentle with yourself...as you walk in this world first be gentle with yourself and in turn you will be gentle with others...being gentle with others in this world wont make passing into the spirit world as hard as we look back on our lives on our dying day...I am thankful for this teaching and realize now how important it is to be gentle with my words or actions. We grow up in a world where life can be hard on us and society can be hard as well so the sooner we realize to walk softer, and be gentle the better life will be.
