Good morning sunshine!!! Hope everyone had a good weekend. God i love the big yellow thing in the sky. I thought we could maybe talk a little about container plants. They have one season to shine. They need, consistent water,fertilizer,and a suitable location-sun lovers in sun,shade lovers in shade-are the key to lush bountiful planting.1) Care and feeding- Even the best wont thrill if you dont take care of it. water, the short answer is as often as needed.Shade pots could only need it twice a week as to sun pots everyday. It is better to do the touch test. 2) Fertilizer is another key to beautiful plants. Plants in pots quickly use up nutrients in soil, so supplemental fertilizer is needed for season long flowering. Remove dead spent blooms and clean leaves also dont be reluctant to do alittle light trimming .It will help prevent a fast growing plant from taking over.3) Keep it fresh. A new plant now and then can really help keep a container looking new. Replaced dead plants with new ones. Sometimes You find one that even brightens up even better than before. Keep up with the seasons. PLants can get tired too so dont be afraid change them out. Keep foliage plants that are still looking good and add annuals that mix well like mums, kale pansies, petunias.for example. Use perennials small shrubs for evergreens anchor or tropicals for that wow effect. Most of all you dont have to have just one of each. .Make sure you have Thrillers, fillers, and spillers. You can have 2 or 3 of each it is your design, your options are limitless. Just have fun.
