Good morning to all my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and to - TopicsExpress

Good morning to all my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and to all my friends, on this Tuesday morning. Hey glory to God! He has given us another day to live! A gift from Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, the giver of life, the substainer of life, and the taker of life. This morning on this new day please allow me to share with you God’s plan of salvation. I quote these verses of scriptures often. In (Romans 10:9-10,13) we read, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Notice carefully with me the words, “if thou shalt “confess” in verse nine. The Word to confess means to give verbal affirmation, to acknowledge with your mouth that Jesus Christ died and was raised for you. Folks anyone can say he or she believes something, but God knows each persons heart. Does He not? Yes He does!! In this confession unto salvation spoken of here it is not enough to merely utter the words. Oh no, they must be declared, professed, proclaimed from the heart, expressing our full conviction. For salvation we must truly believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead. The Apostle Paul in (1 Corinthians 15:17), under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, states how the resurrection is totally interrelated with our salvation. He says, “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.” You see folks, Jesus is the only Lord to have risen from the grave. This makes Christianity more than a philosophy of life or a religious option, it is the only way to be saved. Hey, a big “Amen” is need bout here!!!! And get this, when you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, His righteousness was immediately imputed to you as your righteousness. “Glory to God in the highest!” You were “saved” in the eternal sense of the word. Yet when you make a public confession, profession of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, you receive His deliverance in the here and now, in history. Yes public profession is very important. Amen!! The word saved in verse nine means to be rescued, or delivered. The reason why a lot of people who are going to heaven are not seeing heaven join them in the hear and now is because they have believed but they have not confessed or professed. They have declared within themselves whom they are trusting for their salvation. But they have not made an ongoing public confession or profession of Him as their Lord, through word and deed. Come on now, can I get another big “amen” here? Folks there is a big difference between believing in Jesus and confessing or professing Jesus Christ as Lord. In Jesus’ day believing in Jesus didn’t get Christians hung or tossed to the lions. But, believing in and confessing or professing Jesus as the rightful ruler and lord did. There’s a difference. Loving You In Jesus Christ, Pastor David McGee
