Good morning to everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We sure did! It was the first year ever to have it at our home and we were so grateful that so much of our family joined us!! Sorry it has taken me so long to update, but life has been so busy (but in a good way). Victoria has been doing remarkable! Her hair has began to grow back! I love the feeling of that soft little peach fuzz and to see it messed up or pressed up on one side when she wakes up warms my heart! However I have to admit, until I look at old pictures, I tend to forget that she should have hair. We just took family pictures this past week and I was thinking about getting a huge wall portrait! Never crossed my mind that Victoria would normally have big fluffy curls in this pic! Thats when it really sunk in It is JUST hair! Shes so beautiful inside and out, both bald and curly headed and Im totally okay with either!!! Her joy radiates over everything superficial!!! Were getting ready now to head to the doctor for her last round of treatment for this cycle! Her heaviest round yet, but her LAST one before we head into Maintenance Phase!!! Dont mistake me, Victoria still has at least two years of treatment, but not near as heavy or hard has it has been thus far, and theres just something about the word Maintenance that gets me excited! With that being said, I want to ask for continued prayers for our Victoria! Prayers that she will do well with treatment today, that she wont have much nausea, that her kidney and liver functions remain healthy, and that she doesnt catch any of these yucky viruses going around! Also please say an extra prayer for Victorias friends who also have cancer! Just over the last month, sweet little Noah passed, and another sweet baby boy relapsed right before Maintenance! Both with the same type of leukemia as Victoria. I know GOD has a plan and is in control, always has been and always will be!!! Please pray for peace, strength, and understanding for Noahs family (especially his twin sister, Danika), and also for our little buddy who relapsed (was ask not to name for personal reasons) and for his mommy, for continued strength, and that she will continue to lean into God during this time when it seems so hard to start over! Thank you all in advance because we are So Thankful for every one of our Prayer Warriors out there!!!! Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9 He tends his flock like a shepherd; He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Psalm 32:8 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts...And be thankful. - Colossians 3:15 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Romans 15:13
