Good morning to you. Have you ever noticed the difference in - TopicsExpress

Good morning to you. Have you ever noticed the difference in Joseph interpreting his own two dreams and the dreams of the butler and the baker with that of him interpreting Pharaohs two dreams? (Further, have you noted that when you dream of an issue more than once, there could well be a message that God is trying to convey to you. Good things in life seem to come in twos [marriage, milk and honey, sugar and spice, etc,] and so it could be with double-dreams. But this is not my focal point today. I would like to focus on the earlier question today.) With Josephs own dreams, the focus was simply on himself and there was no mention of God; Genesis 37:5-11 Now Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers they hated him even more. He said to them, “Hear this dream that I have dreamed: Behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright. And behold, your sheaves gathered around it and bowed down to my sheaf.” His brothers said to him, “Are you indeed to reign over us? Or are you indeed to rule over us?” So they hated him even more for his dreams and for his words. Then he dreamed another dream and told it to his brothers and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream. Behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” And his brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the saying in mind. With the butler & bakers dreams, it was still about him and a bit of God; Genesis 40:5-8 And one night they both dreamed—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were confined in the prison—each his own dream, and each dream with its own interpretation. When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were troubled. So he asked Pharaohs officers who were with him in custody in his masters house, “Why are your faces downcast today?” They said to him, “We have had dreams, and there is no one to interpret them.” And Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Please tell them to me.” -In this case he, Joseph was still proud in himself although he acknowledged God as source. With Pharaohs two dreams; Genesis 41:15-16 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” Joseph answered Pharaoh, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.” It took 13 years for Josephs pride in himself to completely disappear and now the dreams were all about God at the centre & so God was now ready to work with Joseph. Some Questions for you and me: 1. How long will it take you to include God in your dreams? 2. Do your own natural or life dreams include God or they are just yours? 3. Are your dreams sprinkled with just a little bit of God? 4. Or are these Gods dreams for you?
