Good morning to you all. Have just come back from Synod where the theme was discipleship. And one speaker made a very interesting point when she pointed out that we should move from being just members of the church to disciples of Jesus. This is an interesting point, and I encourage you to reflect on this thought! Thank you for traveling alongside us! God bless Jen Monday – 19 May 2014 Reading: Romans 8:37 Yet in ALL these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Reflection: We all know the things that rob us of our victory in the Lord. We all know that things that keep us captive. Those habits that rob us of our time and energy. We all know the struggle to break the habits that we are not proud of. They say – and I am not always sure who the “they” are – that it takes 28 days to break a habit. As we read Romans, we realise that God wants us to be conquerors over the things that hold us down. He wants us to have victory over the things that rob us and control us. He wants us to have victory over those things that get us down. If you today need a victory, then it means that you are facing a battle. God wants to be with you in that battle. He wants to hold your arms up so that you don’t get tired and give up. God wants you to be victorious. God desires that you become a conqueror in all things that you face – He wants to be right there with you all the time! Please would you take His hand today! Hold on tight and allow God to walk with you in all the aspects of your life. Breath-prayer: Father, thank you for holding my hand so tight! Thank you for walking through the passages of my life with me all the way, every day! In Jesus name, Amen.
