Good morning to you on this Friday the 18th of July and here in our little corner of the Garden Route, it is another brilliant, sunny day, with a little cool breeze, but the promise of a high of 19C....not too bad for the middle of winter. We were treated last night to a sky filled with stars, so close, it seemed as if we could touch them. That was one thing I missed a lot when we lived in Gauteng...all the city lights obscured the stars. Here, they are like diamonds on black velvet...too pretty to describe. Today is Mandela Day, and I am aware of many 67-minute projects going on all over our country. What a wonderful legacy celebrating a forgiving spirit. Sad that forgiveness is a very scarce commodity in our current day and age. My heart goes out today to all the relatives of the people who died on the Air Malaysia flight that went down over Russia yesterday. What a terrible disaster. Today, I want to leave you with some wise words from an unknown source about obstacles in our lives. What is the difference between an obstacle and an opportunity? Our ATTITUDE towards it. Every opportunity has a difficulty, and every difficulty has an opportunity. May you overcome the difficulties of your opportunities and may you recognize the opportunities in your difficulties and run with them. Happy Friday to you all.
