LIVE: We will be live from federal court in uptown Charlotte, where former Charlotte Mayor Patrick Cannon is expected to plead guilty today to a charge of corruption. Cannon faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, although he is not expected to be sentenced today. In a document that was unsealed yesterday, Cannon pleaded guilty to the corruption charge. LIVE: Well also be live with details on how Cannons plea deal came to be. Officials at the resort said Monday that they have purchased the National Golf Club in Pinehurst, including its Jack Nicklaus-designed course. That course will be renamed Pinehurst No. 9.
