Good morning warriors. I was in a conversation the other day and something stuck i my head. A person said, there are bigger issues... we have all said that at times and we all know it to be true but that is so insensitive when you really think about it. A person is struggling with or going through something that is of huge import to them and all we can offer from our lofty authority is there are bigger issues... Sometimes we need to think before talking... oftimes actually... someone who is suffering a headache knows it isnt cancer but in that moment their headache is a big deal to them, or a mother who cannot purchase something for her kids know that it isnt homelessness but cant that right in that moment be her big deal. I have been as guilty of anyone of saying that at times in my life but sometimes we can learn what not to say by feeling what others are saying...Sometimes, in that moment a person simply needs an ear and a smidgen of compassion... not someone who coldly says what they already know...
