Good morning , we visited the Monaghan SPCA website today to see how Jude was doing and this is the websites update Pets Free to a good home can lead to animal suffering , not keeping your pets safe and secure can lead to theft and Animal Suffering. Spread the word.. Although this happens a lot we would also like to advise that anyone rehomng an animal conducts proper checks , if you dont the new owner might decide they dont want a dog further down the line which leads to animal isolation and neglect. Always get updates on who you rehome to , keep the lines of communication open , ask for photos and updates and ensure an agreement is made for reviews and visits now and again .. If you dont this is how your pet could end up ? A cat would not survive The most important thing to do when rehoming , is always ensure that if things dont work out that the animal is returned to you. If you are unsure about rehoming and need advice please contact us or your local rescue centre all you have to do is ask for rehoming advice. For those of you who havent read Judes story, he was found lying at the side of the road , it was assumed he was knocked down and suffered injury however it was soon discovered Jude was possibly stolen from his family or given away free to a good home and used as bait for fighting dogs . A high level of Animal Cruelty and suffering was inflicted on this wee man and why we cannot raise enough awareness on this subject. Please keep your cats and dogs safe and if you see anyone offering an animal free to a good home on gumtree or any buy and sell pages we ask that you show them Judes story and what can happen should they not offer responsible rehoming, Please offer advice when you see these ads Click on the link to read Judes story : monaghanspca.ie/index.php/jude-appeal Poor wee man Jude… So Far So Good
