Good news. I was recently made shelter director of Hope Haven Animal Rescue of Eufaula, OK. Ironically, the very first dog that came into the shelter was named Titan. I think God did it purposely to show me that Im on the right track and doing exactly what He wants me to do. Thank you Lord for this blessing and opportunity. Heres the Titan in the shelter. He was rescued by a fellow volunteer from a dog fighting ring. He was found protecting a doxie who was in very bad shape. Even though he is severely emaciated, dehydrated, and sick himself, he still found the strength to protect the little doxie. God only knows what humans have put him through in the past, but his tail was wagging when he saw me. His big, green eyes looked so sad, yet he was so gentle.Its amazing how forgiving dogs can be. They dont hold grudges. They are the true meaning of unconditional love. I know that Titan would forgive the man who took his life. He would probably run up to him, tail wagging, with a tennis ball in his mouth. Humans can learn a lot from them, and I will never understand how someone could ever be so cruel to a creature with eyes like theirs.
